Pollinating change through our industrial facilities

As we continue to grow our industrial portfolio, we remain mindful of the environmental impact these developments make. We strive to build great buildings while support the local ecosystems and biodiversity within the precincts.
Working with Bee One Third, a Brisbane-based apiarist, we’ve introduced beehives across several of our industrial sites in Queensland. Nearly 30 hives are now in place, providing safe habitats for bees and bringing biodiversity initiatives to life within our built environments.
The beehives also give us a great opportunity to connect with our customers. At active sites, customers can get involved in caring for the bees and enjoy sharing the honey they produce. We’re also extending the benefits beyond our sites by partnering with a nearby school to run educational workshops about bees, pollination, and the role healthy ecosystems play. We’re exploring ways to involve families too, through hands-on activities using honey and its byproducts.
By welcoming bees into our industrial spaces, we’re not just supporting pollinators—we’re helping these incredible creatures thrive, one hive at a time.
"ESR is interested in more than just having bees in their locations, they’re interested in connecting and contributing back to their local community"
