How do you teach students about nature and conservation while making it fun and keeping the environment safe?

Each year, Year 5 and 6 students from Wattle Grove Public School get rare access to the Moorebank Intermodal Precinct’s conservation zones. Guided by expert ecologists, they explore native habitats, spot local wildlife, and see science come to life.

The Moorebank EcoTours complement the school’s science curriculum, giving students hands-on, real-world insight into conservation and environmental stewardship—without disturbing the delicate ecosystem.

The program is delivered through a partnership between National Intermodal and ESR Australia & NZ, offering every Year 5 and 6 students at Wattle Grove Public School an enriching outdoor classroom experience.

“The EcoTour is the tour that our kids are really excited to go on — to be able to come somewhere like this, interact with nature and see first-hand all of the native wildlife.”
